Covered market Hala Koszyki
Interiors for an indoor market in Warsaw. Rough walls contrast with elegant materials

The Polish studio Medusa Group was commissioned to design the interior of the "Hala Koszyki" indoor market and the offices above it in order to recreate the architectural style of the 19th century in a slightly different way by replacing elements of the past with simple materials such as concrete

Inside the structure, the industrial floors together with the prefabricated elements serve as a backdrop for the authentic painted laminated steel frames. The same approach was chosen for the offices: the spaces are stylized

The common areas of the offices themselves have been designed to look like a wicker basket, such is the Italian translation of the Polish name "koszyk", coloured copper-gold in a completely contemporary font

The rough pattern of the walls is juxtaposed with elegant materials, such as the aluminium floor in one of the pavilions or marble in another hall. The visual identity is inspired by street art
