The Belgian school "Arc-en-ciel" is being expanded. Extra classrooms and new outdoor spaces

In one of the densest districts of Brussels, Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, Label architecture increases the capacity of a school and kindergarten by inserting a reinforced concrete structure that doubles the outdoor spaces and reorganizes the interior spaces

An internal arrangement of the school brings together smaller units in two large classrooms on each floor, increasing the school's capacity with extra classrooms. In addition, new additional storage space is offered for the pupils

The upper part of this structure is used as a sports field, the lower part includes a collection of playing equipment. The gap between the two buildings at the corner is filled with four new classrooms. The existing staircase is extended to give access to the roof, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of Brussels
