Francesco Pierazzi's architectural studio is the protagonist of the extension of a large two-storey suburban villa, with a nursery school on the ground floor and residential spaces on the upper floor, improving the usability of the interior spaces
The extension is at the expense of an abandoned garage, consisting of two separate volumes: the smaller one houses the kitchen, the larger one the canteen. The two volumes are both rectangular in plan, with a single pitched roof, one behind the other
The architectural language adopted is inspired by the German pedagogical wooden blocks Froebel. Although the building is surrounded by vegetation, there is always a search for interaction with neighbouring buildings through the design of the roof and the use of the same materials
